Here is the latest update on Geraldeen O'Hern (Wedell)

Her son has texted me to say his mother still cannot eat. The Dr.s do not know why she cannot eat.

She is so weak she cannot move...and when she is able to speak, she is not making any sense today,

or understanding what is being said to her.

The Dr.s say they need to find a way to get her to eat.

She told me some time before she ended up in the hospital that she couldn't eat but a bite or two because it

made her feel nauseated. She couldn't drink either.

Now it has been too long without food. She is suffering from major malnutrition.

The Dr.s need our prayer's to help them help her to eat again.

I think once they can do that...she will start healing.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayer's. May God Bless you all.

Thank you so much for coming to this site to inform all of us and I'm saddened to hear of another classmate passing. The Rebels Family are close knit and I'm sure many prayers are being said for the family even if it's not publicized here.  Condolences for the whole family.

This is so sad to hear of one of another one our school friends passing away.   Life is so precious and the older I get the more I realize it.      It is important to take the time to say to our loved ones and friends and family I love you!    May Jesus watch over all of you and keep you safe and healthy!

I would like to say this... Some of our brothers and sisters are on unlevel paralells in their life today.  Change comes about when we least expect it.  The carpet gets pulled out from under our feet.  Some find comfort in a bottle.  I just want to send angels to comfort you and to help you through each trying day.  Always keep in mind, no matter how BIG your battle is, no matter how dark the night gets, the sun is coming out tomorrow and promises to shed a renewed light on everything.

Ok! There, I said it! Now pick your self up, dust yourself off, and get back on that bike.

Sorry to hear about Geraldeen as well.  Even though I didn't know her, it saddens me that others are grieving and hurting.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Bekkie, I'd like to see a more formal 50th reunion also.  I've thought about something different like a harbor yacht evening cruise. I've been to an evening wedding and reception on a yacht in Newport Bay and it was awesome.

I'm not a big fan of formal dinners because it takes so much time from the mingling social aspect. I think appetizers are the way to go in the future.

Then maybe even a second get together with the picnic park or beach atmosphere the next day.

I'm sure we can come up with some great, unique ideas that everyone will enjoy.

Your note got my attention.  I think a harbor cruise is a great idea for many reasons.  I've gone quite a few, both socially and for business. Your idea for appetizers as food is great for the reason you stated--it supports mingling and encourages the shyer people and others, who otherwise might just talk with close friends, to get to know each other better. It would be a very special evening. For the best rates on Hornblower, you need a commitment of 125 people.

"Peggy" Marguerite Rogers (McIntyre-Real Maiden Name) (Formerly Gidley)

Hi Classmates,  Sad news!  Donna Stolle-Patterson passed away yesterday.  Tom posted this on Face Book and then called me today.  Fortunately, she got to talk with many of our classmates at our 45th Reunion at Original Mike's, a couple of weeks ago.  I took my phone around the place, so that she could say "Hi".  She called me back a few days later saying what fun it was to chat with everyone,  and of course, she knew "everyone".  She's out of pain, now and is not having to fight this anymore.

In sorrow,

Peggy

I'm soooo very sorry to hear this, Peggy... thank you for letting me know (since I'm not on Facebook).  I recall what a good time we had together at her house in Washington years back!  She'll really be missed... was such a sweet person.  Deepest condolences to her family and friends.  I'm sure the Dysinger kids remember her fondly.

Best wishes, Sharon Joy Brunner

Thank you Pam for the good idea of a harbor cruise for our 50th and a family picnic the next day. Also, thank you Peggy for sharing about Donna. It was very sweet of you to let all of us talk with her on your phone. I'm sure that made her smile! She will be greatly missed :(

My cousin had her wedding reception on a harbor cruise, and it was all right - of course I was a lot younger and got pretty buzzed on tequila.  Thought I was pretty clever about it, 'cause how could my parents know I was buzzed when we were on a boat and I wasn't walking "straight!"  (I was already in my late 20's, but still worried about what my parents would think!)

Harbor cruises are nice, but you have to take into consideration everyone.  I use a walker these days, because I'm not always steady on my feet.  I wouldn't be able to do a harbor cruise.  And as for a family picnic - I would have to pass on that, because I'm not really big on picnics, myself - never have been.

However, this is only one person.
