'68 Grad, soon after married Jan Hennessey and we had 2 kids. Divorced after about 13yrs and I raised my son, and Jan our daughter. Have been in construction starting with Park Construction at the City of Anaheim. It was a great first real job, operating all the trenching and grading equipment, forming and pouring concrete, landscaping, working on the Anaheim Hills Golf Course when it was built and Angel Stadium. After 9yrs I moved on to commercial buildings and some condo work with Koll Construction for about 14yrs. After that I had my own Gen. Contracting business for about 9yrs. Boy, that's when the fun started and in the end, after a lot of hard work and long hours I had to close the doors in '96. I lived out of state for a few years, Colorado, Utah building hotels and retail. That was interesting, a California boy learning the ropes building in the snow and wind of Colorado and Utah. Met a lot of good people and a few strange ones those years. Came back to California in '99 and have been gainfully employed as a Construction Project Superintendent on about 60 or so major building projects in So Cal for the duration. Got my Real Estate license about 5yrs ago and have been working behind the scenes until last Sept. '08 when I got laid off From Opus West Construction. They have downsized so much that they are closing their doors for now. So sooner than later I have started my later in life 2nd career in Real Estate and all that it offers. There will always be real estate transactions of some kind but while in this down turn construction is still dead except for some county, state and city public projects. Oh well, more time to spend camping at the beach and the mountains or golfing. Too bad!
