Frank J. That's what his folks called him because he was a Jr. His Dad is Frank Sr. So being the mean spirited boys we could be, we used to call him Frank Jay when we were angry at him or we wanted to get his goat. Neither of which happened very often.

I shared lots of memories with Frank and think about them from time to time. We grew up in the same neighborhood South of Knott's Berry Farm and used to terroize that venue as often as we could. Remember the covered wagons. There were a bunch of us that "made out" with girls for the first time in those wagons. 

I used to stop by and see Frank whenever I visited my Mother-in-law. When she moved away from Buena Park my regular stops. I called Frank out of the blue to talk about Birdsall and he told me he had Stage 4 cancer. He passed away shortly after I spoke with him. There will be a hole in the fabric of the neighborhood with his passing.

Th picture below is the last time i saw him. It was at our last reunion.
