I like the pictures that are posted in regards to Dave's celebration of life. All of the comments were very special about him. I pray for all of us as we become more aware of how precious life is and how precious family is and important for us to become part of our families. God Bless all of you and keep safe.  Ester and family.

Hi bro's and sista's.... just FYI...Dennis Birdsall's service was so very sweet.  The church was packed, and the tribute to Dennis was enough to make anyone cry.  He was very much loved and he left behind an awesome family and friends that will forever remember him and miss him terribly.  I posted just a few pics from the service for you on his "In Memory"...

Thanks little Ms Cathy for all the updates on what's happening.  It's awesome that you went to the funeral and reported back to all of us classmates.  Thanks for the pictures, too!  You're a true angel for all of us.  I love you  sister!

Sadly the picture I posted for Frank Banman has disappeared...However, his sister has sent me an email and would like me to post the information for his services here on this site, as he had so many friends from Savanna from our class and 68..

I shall try and cut and past the website to go to for all the information.  His sister is very loving and is very sad for the loss of her brother.  She said to tell you all that it would be wonderful to see everyone there.

For anyone considering coming to the annual SHS Alum El Torito Happy Hour , it's only about 2 months away.  Mark your calendar for Oct 5th, Friday evening and come on out for dinner/drinks and visiting old friends from as far back as '64.  Meet new people and reaquaint yourself with others.  It's fun and easy.  Hope to see you there.  Savi Ranch Complex right off the 91 at Weir.

Hey Chris...It is hard to believe that another year has gone by..  Im so looking forward to another party at SAVI Ranch...You just never know who will show up...  got a message from Stephen (Bugs) to keep him posted on the event..I did tell him to get on this site for updates, etc.  Has anyone heard from Janet Snow?  When I was at Dennis Birdsall's memorial, I had the occasion to sit and chat with the group around Bruce Boyer, and Nancy (who I believe is his sister) had pictures from parties in the 60's and stories that I never knew existed...she is a library of our friends and loved ones from high school.  I believe I will be trying desperately to get her to SAVI this year...Would be a real HOOT!

NOTE: Loren, I did ask Hoover the questions you posted for me, and well...he is going to call you..

My love to all of you here and the ones out there that have not learned of this site... I pray we are all united someday on this site and that we have many stories to tell (good ones, of course)...Ciao for now..Cathy

Update: The person that sat with us at Dennis' funeral was Debi Saub....  I did have the opportunity to talk to her again (she is now living in Vegas) and she said that she is planning to come again to the El Torrito on Oct. 5th.  I guarantee she is a hoot and has something in her memory on everyone that will be there...ha ha ha...It's going to be a blast, I assure you all.

Cathy~~Debi Nelson Saub is married to one from our class, Jim Saub.  She was at the El Torito last year but Jim usually can't get away.  I think there's MORE from '70 that will come this year, too....if you remember we got ahold of about 5 or 6 of them.  Jack Dilbecks sister was there...GAWD I hope she gets Jack to come this year!!!  He is on FB , she told me to go check him out :)  We're doing OUR part to spread the 'early' word so everyone gets it on the calendar!  See you in about 6 weeks, twiny!

Hi guys, I have been looking forward to the October El Torritos shindig very much. But I am supposed to be at an evening reception in Egypt at the base of the Pyramids. It is very cool. You ride a camel from the parking lot to the reception and the only light is the moon. Then the spotlights that illuminate the pyramids break through the night and suddenly you think of all of history and what those monuments have seen. This is followed by an amazing meal with wonderful alcoholic beverages! I don't think you call it wine- it has a much stronger kick than that. The conversations are amazing with people from all over the world sharing their cultures and ideas, hopes and thoughts for the future. And oh yea, there are lots of scantily clad chicks doing belly dancing!!!!!!!blush

Cathy usually brings her Belly Dancing patch of clothing....and this year she's bringing plenty for ALL us chicks :)  Sounds fantastic Andy.  I think you've done that before, right?  You get to take pics?  You should share w/ us all!  We'll MISS YA!

Ohh Man unfortunately I am not going to be in town either.  I will be assisting Andy in India...doing belly dancing there..and smoking Camels...I mean riding them... Oh shucks!   Damn it, I just woke and found it to be a dream.  Well, in that case, I suppose I will be there present and accounted for unless of course the creek raises...

Love you all and see you soon!  Cathy

Pray for Mike Roberts...he will be having knee surgery soon, and will not be able to attend the El Torrito because of it.

Linda, I do not see your cautionary note here, which leads me to think I'm crazy, however, thank you for your concern. Generally, contrary to the news you see on TV here, the people in Egypt really like Americans. I was in Tahrir square during the last uprisings and it was almost like a rock concert when we were younger only with some rocks and such. But, by and large Americans are fairly safe. But I am always cautious because of the nature of what I do. So again, thank you for your concern. Besides, I just grow my sideburns a little longer and then I fit right in!!cheeky
