Everyone's BEST BUD, Dave, has sadly passed away on Oct 12, 2011. I think all of us that visited him walked away a better person for knowing him and we definately laughed alot and were in AWE of his incredible memory of anything and everything that he lived through. He even told us what classes we were in and who was in them during Grammer School...even if he wasn't in that class. Alway put a smile on my face. I'm already missing my friend. I got the phone call from the hospital at 4:40 in the morning saying Dave had been admitted the evening before with difficulty breathing. We'd heard this many times and like the CAT he was...he always used up one of those 9 lives...but each time he had a 'bout'...it put more irrepairable damage to the lungs and we knew this day would happen.
I'm in contact with his EX, Linda Ianetti, and she's handling everything. At this point we've talked about waiting until after the holidays and have a Celebration of Dave's life in early to mid January. A lot of us know Dave's belief of things to change in the world in 2012....so in this New Year and a New Beginning for him....we thought it fitting to do something in 2012. I'll be forwarding any plans to you all so you can decide if you are able to join in.

As much as Dave loved his years of football...and his pride for Savanna...I must say this...He made his touch down here on this planet and gave us all a place of safety, respect, honor, dignitity, and love... That big beautiful heart of his!.... He has slid into "home" base not well preserved, but having lived a full and exciting life...beat up, exhausted, breathless, but with a smile and knowing he is loved...Who could ask for more? We love you Dave!
Yes, I visited Dave a few times at New Orange Hills, and just found out today (12/26/2011) that he was gone...please include me in the plans for his memorial service in 2012! I saw him at the 40th class reunion in 2009; his goal was to be there and you (pl.) helped make it happen! He always had a positive attitude and had a very sweet spirit...
I'm missing my pal Dave! He always remembered the special and funny things. I'll remember him as one of the most positive people I have ever met. Hope he is having a beer with my folks in heaven.
