thanks Chris for the good news about Dave. He is certainly a trooper with all he has been through. God, we are blessed to have him. He is an inspiration to us all.

Jackie and Cynthia saw Dave today and he is in good spirits. He's hoping to be back at Orange Hills sometime tomorrow. I'm going to try and go see him this week. Chris said that hearing from everyone really brightens his day.

Hey Tim, you are soo right... Gwen Stefani graduated from Loara H.S. and was born in 1969.
I am hoping to go through some pics and scan them and put them on this site. I have pics from so far back, time nearly erased them. I think I even have a picture of Lynn Timmons in a bathing suit. Got one of Sue Galloway too, and Cathy Imperiali and Jim Minor.. Just gotta dig them out. If any of you have some old pics, post them. Maybe we can get approval to post them under a new category..like our personal album?????? What do you think Chris??

First of all...Dave will probably be going back to his Orange Hill Hospital today ( Sunday ) and is so much better. They operated on his throat area where his Tracheotomy was causing scar tissue and blocking off his breathing. Within 7 days he went CODE 3....three times because he had a blocked passage for oxygen. Now the scar tissue is removed and he woke with the happy sight that his Respirator was removed. Now his lungs will work on their own rather than being dependant of a machine. He's in good spirits. Bob Donoghue and I were in with him right before the surgery.
Cathy, don't know how the 'picture' thing would work as it has to be done on the Admin section, so either Kathy, Linda or Sue would have to get them and put them in. PLUS, if you find any old ones of ME in a bathing suit...you better not put them in..ha.
LIT is a local band made good...and I think they're from Loara, too...aren't they? They have a cool bar/resturant in Fullerton call THe Slide Bar. On Commonwealth. Don't forget about Don Aase...baseball player from Savanna, too.

BY THE WAY.....HUGH mistake. We had Buddy Bird on the 'In Memory Of' board as we were told he had passed. Well....he's alive and living in Anaheim Hills. SORRY BUDDY.

Hi All,
I am sitting in a hotel in Beijing unable to sleep and went through this entire section.

Cathy, thanks a million for all of your posts, it was great seeing you at the reunion, but I really appreciate all of your posts as it is a blast from home.

Reunion committee, I still can't believe what a great job you all did. It was a fabulous evening, great seeing old friends and even making some new ones. As far as the next one, be it this summer or in four more years, both sound great to me. Just let us out-of-towners know far enough in advance so we can set up travel. Of course, I will have to work around baseball, I have to get to the Cape Cod league baseball, and see Scot and Sharon and Andy etc. - lots of fun in old Cape Cod!!

Anyone coming to the Rhode Island area, I would love to get together with you. The flooding isn't as bad as the news makes it out as long as you can do the backstroke.
Happy New Year to all,
Andy

I just read what Nick put for Don Gross' "In Memory". It is soooo sad that he is not with us, but with all the sadness, I laughed my ask off at all the funny things he did. We do hold some awesome memories of our classmates.

NO complaints from the neighbors, so we must have been good. It was great seeing them. ANDY...Sharon told me to come to the Cape this summer...maybe I'll try to arrange it..sounds wonderful. Love to see our boys in uni's again HEEHEE. Cathy...you're a great spirit..and I love that we've connected again, my grade school friend. GEEZ...it's in the mid 80's today. COME TO CALIF everyone!

Cathy,
I am in Beijing on business - I come here 3/4 times a year. The nice thing is that I am going to Bali for the weekend and then on to Sydney for next week. I will try to pick up that fan for you or something else that is appropriate. Beijing is hot and smoggy. It really puts SC to shame for smog. Of course, since before the Olympics, the gov't declared that the smog problem is now gone and what we are seeing is just fog.

Chris, If you need anything, let me know - I'll be glad to pick you up at the airport, dinner, whatever. It really is fun. The first time I saw Andy in uniform, I wasn't sure it was Andy, until he talked to me. It was great seeing them back as if the last 40 didn't happen.

Chris...daaling.... what the heck are we missing out on? we could be traveling with all these buff guys and instead here we are scrubbing floors and cleaning out toilets........... where is the fairness in all this?? I ask you.... hee hee
Well, just knowing where they all are is a blessing, I would say, and that they are happy, healthy, and enjoying their life.
SMOG Andy.....that sounds like a big-a-mist to me. HA HA

Randy Hall and I went to the O.C. Speedway for the motorcycle races last night...watching them get sideways...and his daughter and her boyfriend met us there.... wow is she a beauty; we stopped in to say hi to Dave Stowe, who by the way is totally motivated to get better and better everyday. He really looked great and sounds awesome. Jackie was there too. It is amazing how we all ended up being "brothers and sisters".
I think all your prayers are working... Keep it up!

Hey everyone! Good to read all the posts! I talked to Dave a couple nights ago (or really early am - 1:00) He stays up late like me... He sounded great. Still smiling, you can hear it in his voice.
I'm sure glad to hear so many have done really well for themselves. My big accomplishment seems to be 2 great kids and 5 grandbabies! There is one more on the way. My daughter is due (her second and final addtion) in Oct. Just happens to be close to her favorite holiday, Halloween. Alistar (5) was a bit stricken when she found out, wondering if mom/dad will love the new baby better than her. She is a riot, almost too smart for such a little girl.
Take care, I think of you all often, keep smiling - it's what keeps me going!

Loren Thornton

I just had a great time with Chris, Gary, Dennis and Pam in Dana Point. We ate at a little place called the Taco Shack then went to Dennis's house. We sang and watched Dennis play his guitar. It was all put together by Chris, if anyone is good at it she is. Nice to be back on home turf again even if just for a week. Chris took me to downtown Fullerton and downtown Brea. What a diff. sence the last time I saw them. Things are changing all over. Can't wait till I can be back in the hussle and bussle of the So. Cal.

Verla Boak (Milburn)

hi everyone, it is good to read what everyone is doing. Well after being out CA for 11 years, I am back. We are managing a storage facility in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, Love it. Only 4 blocks from the beach. If I would of been that close when in high school I could of save on gas money, you know, that 5.00 to fill the take. LOL.

Keep in touch.
