Cathy and Chris, the fair sounds like so much fun! Cathy, I wish I was there with you when you visit the horses. I have always wanted to have a horse and live where I could ride every day! Won't be able to go to the fair itself, my knees are really bad and I can't walk around that much... Hell to get old!

I just added some pics to my profile.  2 from my sons wedding day, 2 of Loren and me when he was out here the end of June, and 2 of Grant and me when he was here the beginning of July.  Hope you're all having a good summer.  Don't forget....OCT. 1st at the EL TORITO in Savy Ranch, Yorba Linda....the Savanna Happy Hour get together out on the patio.  All classes come...last year we had about 12 from our class.  It'd be more fun if more of you came.  Hope to see you there.

Hey anyone heard from Frank?  How's the baby and has he moved back home yet?  Chris... daaaaling.... anyone make a committment yet on SAVI Ranch?  It really was fun last year...but I didn't get the raffle (Hoover)...Waaaaaaa... Hear from Janet Snow lately.... She is just a doll and so sweet.. God bless her.  Oh and.... Joy Thorstenson is still on location doing Scream 4.. expected to get back in a couple of weeks... she asked me about Pam McCloud.... someone submitted her to IN MEMORY...so someone must know the story.  She was loved by so many.

How bout this for giving you guys something to talk about.... Darryl and I are taking off on the 27th in his hot corvette to Sacramento... No you sickies.... he is dropping me at my daughters and going to his own family reunion.  But don't you just love the excitement...

Allison my number is on my profile here.  So, put it into your cell phone and give me a call the day before you go for sure, and hopefully, it is the day that I am going with the trainers.  It would be awesome to see you there.  When I go, I will probably be mostly with the horses that are racing, as that is what I have been doing this summer ...spending time watching the horses get trained for the thoroughbreed horse races.  I know of a few of the horses that I have been feeding carrots to...are going to be in the races.  So, lets hook up.....  P.S.  Make sure you put some money on Hoof Hearted...Its a sure thing... Sorry for lack of participation this summer, but it has been a crazy one. I can't believe that summer is almost over. I actually got to the Cape for one of the games and saw Scott and Sharon. With the trip around the world and then the middle east followed by my quick trip to the Cape and then a 2 week trip to South America. Currently I am in North Carolina for the week and then home for a few days. However, what is going on in LA the weekend of Sept. 10, 11, 12? I am actually going to be there for a few days on my way back to India. I am very happy that I am going to take a few days off on this trip and combined with a long weekend end up with 5 days in Bali again. My wife tells me that Julia Roberts new movie "Eat, Drink, and Die" or whatever it's called has a lot of scenes from Bali in it. I go there quite often, and do hope that this movie doesn't ruin it with a lot of added tourism. It's just right now, (came back nicely after the bombings) and a lot of new tourists will tip the balance. Anyway, I hope to see you all in LA in Sept.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is SAVI ranch?? Trust me, if you ever get to Bali, I'll tell you where to go and you will forever change your association of the word. When I get to heaven, (ok, if I get to heaven!) I have a feeling it is going to look like Bali. Beautiful beaches, great jungles, fabulous bars and joints and amazingly friendly people!!

When you say Bali is what Heaven probably looks like I was thinking you may fight Gary Laukkanen on that one.....I'm sure he thinks it's BRAZIL that will look more.  And having seen many pics he's sent me I'd have to say it could be a toss up.  So you only got out to 1 of Pick's games this season?  I haven't heard from Sharon since they've returned.  I'm going to Arkansas mid Sept to visit a couple.  My girlfriend and I are going.  So Andy...I get you for my personal GUIDE?  Sounds adventurous.  You hook me up w/ plane tix and we'll talk...haaaa.   By the way, SAVI RANCH is a shopping/dining/hotel/business area of Yorba Linda and its where the SHS gathering at EL TORITO has been going on for the past 17 yrs the first Fri each Oct.  This year it's on Oct 1.  Coming up.  Right around the corner from where I live....so I guess I'll be there :)

Cathy, have fun with your horsies.  Hope your fav comes in and you win BIG.  Let me know when you're going to Pomona Fair and if it works out maybe we'll hook up but I HAte going to Fairs in general.  I'm NO FUN.

I just checked my schedule and have some bad news for you. You won't be able to go to the SAVI Ranch on the 1st of October because we will be in Bali for that weekend. On Sunday of that weekend, we go on to India - you get to see the Taj Mahal and everything. Of course, if the Savanna reunion is more important, I understand - we will have to make it some other time, but I still need to know what to do in LA the weekend of Sept 10,11 and 12.

Now as for Bali v Brazil. Gary and I talked at the reunion and I do agree that Brazil is beautiful, however, you would not believe Bali. Pictures cannot do it justice. But, go see that new Julia Roberts movie. A friend at home saw it and says there are quite a few scenes in Bali. Then we'll talk!!!

OKAY you's guys....  What is this "As the World Turns"? I am sooo excited about driving to SAC with Darryl.  You have no idea how funny this guy is...I'm really surprised that he didn't ask for a ransom....  That's probably his next move.  I will be going to the Dave Matthews Band concert in Sacramento on Friday night.   What do you mean I talk too much... For God's sake... Your the one that keeps me talking until 2:00 in the morning D.C....  I don't know how to pack seeing as how the bags under my eyes are bigger than my suitcase.

Hey Andy...  am I not your assistant or have you dumped me for Chrisi?  I mean ... hey you guys.. your making all these plans without me...  I feel like chopped liver ova here.  I hate to do this, but you leave me no alternative... I choose you off again sista! 

On a more serious note:  Prayers are needed for Ester... she is going to have some surgery on Monday.  All your prayers will help..  if you have faith, even the size of a grain of mustard sead, The Man hears your prayers and answers... So... hold on to that mustard sead and give it all you got.  Love you sista Ester...I'm sure everything will come out fine.  We love you!

     I can't outdo Andy Armstrong's travels, but I did just get back from an African safari.  I went through Dubai, and it gives a whole new meaning to hot and humid.  I was really glad I wasn't in a full burka there.  I had always hoped to go to Africa and see the animals at the zoo in their natural habitat.  It was all I hoped for.  I hope to have my travel website up in the next six months.  Work keeps getting in the way.  I am envious of you classmates that have found the better life of retirement.

Ya know.... in the old days... we usta stick out our thumb to go places.... now ... we just get on this website and go with our fellow classmates.  Just gotta say that my ride with Darryl was ....how you say.... an A ticket... I felt like a cop on his tail...hinting by clawing at the dash board now and then, but he is a man and men like to go fast and crank up the tunes so that everyone in Sacramento could hear his music.  Holy Cow...I swear next time ya all see me I will have a hearing aid in both ears...  All kidding asside... Darryl is a great guy and my family even likes him.  I think the man is a genius.  I had fun challenging his ideas and opinions.

Well...just soya know... Alison will be at Pomona Fairgrounds on the 16th...I hope I can go on that date too so we can meet up.  I don't know when I am going to get the tickets from the Horse trainers, so its gona be a guess.... for now.

Chris when and where are we meeting up with Andy??? We just have to go together and lets put on some black eye makeup like we have a black eye... okay.... oh how funny!!!
