Clyde Eaker

After hanging out at the beach and just taking it easy after high school I joined the Navy, I recall that I had a really low draft number….only lottery I’ve ever won. Anyway with the draft breathing down my neck I enlisted and ended up working in electronics, radar and computers that aimed the guns on the ship. After I did my time in the military I went to school in San Diego and graduated with a degree in accounting from SDSU. I seemed to have enjoyed my tax classes and got on with the IRS after I graduated. Going to retire from the government about this time next year.

Lots of school stories, and yeah I remember spinning donuts in Cary’s Porsche. I remember getting into a shoving match with Paul Sophy when I pulled the wrong direction during a football game. We slammed into each other behind the center and proceeded to mix it up a little. Worse part was when we watched the game tapes and Coach Hicks ran it back and forth about ten times. Let’s see, there was that time we snuck Cary into the drive in movies by shoving him into the front end of his Porsche. Funny part was when we opened the glove compartment…. there was Cary’s face. Oh yeah, Nick Chase sneaking his drawing of Godzilla vs. King Kong into a very serious art show in the school gym. Way too much fun.
