Happy Birthday Chris Cummings, Linda Palmer and anyone else that reminded us that they were  60..  It is only a number, and I don't know of anyone 60 that wasn't cool, do you?  Back in the ol days 60 was OLD...now..well...we have just begun!!!!  Hang on to yer hats...were in for some really fun days ahead....  Keep up the P.T. Kathie so we can all dance next month....  Andy..heard you were in town...dude...you rock.

 Andy...I love your memories of the ol neighborhood...That little store and colima market.  Funny, you don't remember my brother Louie...he worked at Colima too...under Tracy Sands.  Andy...can you find Jim LaRochelle??? I want to talk to him about his safe house for kids.  I think that is so very commendable.

Hi everyone,

Well our Birthday Party is almost here.  I remember sitting with a few of the girls and coming up with this concept after remember Sharon putting on our 50th reunion.  But 60....now THATS a number we have to acknowledge.  Recent headcount looks like we have close to 80 committed to coming and some of us have verbals from you guys.  1 1/2 more weeks.  Dennis' band is so awesome, you're gonna LOVE them.  It's been 2 yrs since we all got together and it'll be 3 more if we decide to do a 45th reunion, so this is a nice 'bridge' between them both.  Keep us all connected cuz EVERYONE says our class is so special and so different and so tight.  

Don't forget this is a casual evening.  We'll be in the outdoor patio area with a stage and our own roped off section.  Shorts, jeans, tee shirts, sports shirts, sun dresses...BE COMFORTABLE......it's a resturant/bar atmosphere. CALL YOUR OTHER SHS FRIENDS to come down.  The special prices and happy hour food is for our SHS group so we're not encouraging a group of your personal friends.  Can't wait to see everyone.  7:00 Sat July 16th downtown Santa Ana at Original Mike's.  Bring your dancing shoes :)

It was a very good time @ the 60th Birthday Bash. My husband Dennis and I loved so many things and  PEOPLE there. The music and dance was great. Great laughs with long missed friends. Words can not begin to appreciate or express the Class of '69.   We have good things to remember and be thankful for.

I would say that the "60th" Birthday Party for the graduates of 1969 was one spendid party!  It was amazing to see and visit with so many classmates. The years melted away! Kudos to Kathy, Chris and any others who put their time in to making this the party it was.  As always it was great to hear Dennis and his band play the evening away for us!  What a special class we have! Again thanks to all.

WOW! I love what you did for the forum..the video will let the ones that could not make it, see how much they are loved and missed... I wish that everyone could be there and feel the love.  There is no better way to explain it but to be there are feel it.  God bless you Dave, Joy, Darryl, Frank, and Debbie and all the others that just could not make it.   I think Chris is already planning the next one, and hopefull you can make that one... we only have a short time on this planet and we gotta grasp every minute and cherrish it with body and soul..

Our Birthday Bash was a success and many were talking about WHEN'S THE NEXT ONE.  That's a good sign.  I have over 150 pics on my FB site and I hope more surface.  Kathy has access to all of mine so hopefully some will show up here on our Party Board.  The NEXT big event probably won't be until we organize our 45th reunion, and that's only 3 yrs away, but in the meantime there's the HAPPY HOUR that's on the first Friday of every Oct and has been going on for 17 years.  It's at the El Torito in Savy Ranch Yorba Linda off the 91 and YL Blvd.  I've gone for the past two yrs now and we're getting better attendance from us 69ers each time.  Hope  you guys will consider it.  We'll have notices on her soon.  Tlhanks to everyone that came and helped make our party a 'Happening', cuz without all of you it'd just be me and a couple of 'Die Hards' sitting and waiting :)  Another HUGE THANKS to Dennis Eiche for arranging for his band to come and play for us.  I think they now have many more of us as BAND GROUPIES :)  THey were fantastic!  Nothing compares to LIVE entertainment!  Thanks again and I'm glad everyone made it home safe.  EXTRA THANKS to those classmates that flew in or traveled far to be here and a part of the fun.  Our class is THE BEST!!!!!!!!  Much love to you ALL!

Well...heeelllllooooowwwww!  Hope everyone is happy and healthy.  Just wanted you to know that I will be heading for Reno Saturday 8-6-11?? If I don't get too anxious and leave Friday...  Meeting up with my daughter and friends to celebrate my kids 40th birthday.  Holy canoli... it seems like yesterday.  Then we are headed to Portland Oregon.  Anyone live out that way???  Hopefully there will be a Starbucks at every pit stop on the way...cuz...I'm talking...it's a lot of driving.  Going with my cousin...together we have been nic named "Thelma and Louise" for reasons I cannot discuss. ha ha ha.... UPCOMING EVENT:  Just a reminder to all that the annual Happy Hour at  El Torito is Fri Oct 7th and goes from 4 til whenever you leave.  Outside patio area in Yorba Linda in the Savy Ranch Shopping area.  Each year we get more and more 69ers to come so SPREAD THE WORD and come over and visit with classmates from various years.  It's casual, buy your own, stay as long as you like or as little as you like.  We're all getting to really KNOW each other with all our gatherings, let's keep up the momentum.  Hope to see you !

FACT.....Facebook is keeping us from keeping this site up...  Not everyone is on Facebook ...so we need to remember to post here.

I was just in Phoenix and in going to "where everyone lives" I noticed Larry Ortega lives out there.  I wish I would have checked that before I left, but maybe we can meet up for breakfast some time when I get back down there.  I went to a city called Carefree, Az... very interesting and most cowboy and indian style.  I really was intrigued.  It was sooooo hot out there that when I went to see the biggest sun dial in the world...I happened upon a water fountain....and yes....I jumped in.  Ahhhh so refreshing...  could not help myself.
